THE FEED PREVIEW
If it's happening at SCU, it's here first.

JOIN TO UNLOCK SEASON 1
You Voted. Here’s What’s Next.
I asked what you wanted next. You answered, and it wasn’t close.
Swim Team Season 2. We go straight into it.
Season 2 is next, and it is not the last one
Season 1 closes with Episode 10. Then Winter Break, which sits between the seasons and is not optional viewing if you want to understand where everyone stands when Season 2 opens.
Then Season 2.
There will be at least three seasons of Swim Team. I want to be clear about that now, because it changes how you read what’s coming. Nothing in Season 2 is racing toward a finish line. These four have a long way to go, and I have the room to take them there properly.

About soccer
A lot of you wanted Soccer Team. More than I expected, and I noticed.
Soccer Team Season 1 is not next. Here’s the honest reason: the swim story has momentum right now that took eight episodes to build, and launching a second division on top of it would slow both down. Neither one would get what it needs. I’d rather do one thing all the way than two things halfway.
That is not a no. It’s a not yet, and there’s a difference.
Soccer is already inside the swim story
The two divisions were never sealed off from each other. Same campus. Same dorms. Same people.
Noah Weber plays soccer. Right wing, number 7. He is also a large part of why Luca Bennett is the way he is, and if you’ve been paying attention you already know that.
Sam Nakamura swims. His roommate plays soccer.
Those lines cross on their own. So starting in Season 2, where soccer touches the swim story, you’re going to see it on the page. Not as a guest appearance. As what was already true about this campus before anyone put a camera on it.

The Moments are where the soccer story gets built
This is the part I want you to actually hear.
Between now and whenever Soccer Team gets its own season, the backstory is going up in the Moments. Not the Episodes. The Moments.
The Decision is already live. Jack, sitting between Riley and Brody, working out loud toward the only answer he was ever going to give. That Moment is doing setup work for a season that hasn’t started yet, and there are more coming.
If you only view Episodes, you will not be missing plot. I’ve promised you that before and it still holds. A Moment will never resolve something an Episode owes you.
But you will be missing the reason any of it lands when soccer finally arrives. By the time that season opens, the people in it should already feel like people you know. That only works if you’re viewing the Moments as they go up.
They drop between Episodes, on no schedule. When one is good, it goes up.
Short version
Swim Team Season 2 is next. At least three seasons total.
Soccer shows up inside the swim story wherever the two actually touch.
Soccer Moments are building that division in the background. View them.
See you on campus.

Hey, Arby – thanks for the update.
While I can understand your reasoning, I’m not following the data behind it…
The poll you posted on 7/19 shows Swim Team 48% x 52% Soccer Team. Maybe I missed additional polls that were posted across social channels (I’ve been off Instagram and X), sorry in advance if that’s been the case
Thanks so much!

Hi GX. Thanks for your reply. Yes I had several different polls and this one was the most recent. but across the board it was about 75% in favor of continuing with Swim Team Season 2. I was all set to go with Soccer so instead of Season 1 of Soccer I’ll just start posting some individual soccer stories to keep it going until we’re ready to roll it out. I wish I could run both at the same time but I just don’t have enough time in a day to do production work for both.

Thanks so much for the update, Arby, that makes perfect sense. I’m sure Swim Team S2 will be a hit and that the individual Soccer stories will be just the extra spice we want. Btw, I still don’t know how you manage the “overtime” workload and still deliver it all so well – it’s inspiring, really.

Trying to figure out why Jesse Berglund was tagged here — and only him?

Publishing mistake. Corrected.
