Is He Too Late?
Eli has spent all season telling himself it doesn’t mean anything.
That Luca is his roommate. His best friend. That whatever happens between them doesn’t have to change anything.
But somewhere along the way, Luca stopped being someone Eli could keep at a safe distance.
And now, standing alone with nowhere left to hide from himself, Eli finally understands what all that waiting might cost him.
“Wake up, Eli, or you’re going to lose him.”
The question isn’t whether Eli wants Luca anymore.
It’s whether he figured it out in time.

Eli and Luca belong together

I totally agree
Arby says:
Noted. You’re both not alone in that.
Worth noticing that neither of them has ever said it. Not once, in nine episodes. You’re all more certain about this than they are.
Nicholas says:
Eli doesnt sleep around, does he? And Luca does…so why is Luca acting like the innocent and aggrieved party here?!!
Arby says:
Fair question, and I’d push on the premise.
Where is Luca acting aggrieved? Go find me the line. He has never accused Eli of anything, never asked for exclusivity, never said he was hurt, never once brought up Jaxon or Cole or anybody else. When Eli said it doesn’t have to mean anything, Luca said okay. When Eli asked for sex before his flight, Luca said yeah. The one time he said no, he said nah, I’m good, and let it go.
That is not innocence and it is not grievance. That is a man taking the deal he was handed and not complaining about it.
Nobody in that room agreed to be exclusive, because agreeing would have required naming it, and naming it is the one thing Eli won’t do. You cannot cheat on an arrangement that was built specifically so it doesn’t exist. That is the entire reason it got built that way.
And on Eli not sleeping around. He came home wasted at one in the morning after staying late at a party talking to a freshman from the soccer team. Keep an eye on that one.

It’s ok, Eli. You can love Luca and still become a total man whore, like that cute brown-haired smaller boy who love to face fuck. And Luca will show you how to be more eager and open.
Arby says:
Ha. Eli’s problem was never volume.
He could go through the entire roster and still not say one word about any of it out loud. That’s the thing he’s actually avoiding, and more partners doesn’t fix it. It just gives him more not to talk about.
Luca isn’t teaching him to be eager. Luca is waiting for him to say something.
