A Quick Map of Varsity Nights
A member wrote in recently with a good question, and it was the kind only a careful reader asks. He knew exactly what Episodes, Moments, the Feed, and the Vault each were. Then he asked whether everyone else did.
Fair point. There is a row of doors along the top of the site and nobody handed you a key.
So here is the map.
MEMBER HOME
This is the hub. If you only ever bookmark one page, bookmark this one.
The newest episode sits up top with whatever bonus material goes with it. Below that: the episodes before it, the full Season 1 episode guide, the latest from the Feed, and the recent D1 Athletes image drops.
Everything on this page is also reachable from the navigation above. Member Home just puts the current state of things in one view, so if you have been away a couple of weeks you can see what you missed without going looking for it.
Captain’s Circle members will see an extra column here, with the bonus content, private profiles, and updates that come with that tier. If you do not see it, you are not missing anything from the main story. Everything that carries the season lives in Episodes.

EPISODES
This is the main story.
Season 1 follows the SCU swim team through a single semester. The episodes are where the weight sits: the turns that matter, the relationships that carry the season, the things that change and cannot change back.
Episodes are built scene by scene, and each scene opens with a header telling you exactly where and when you are. Luca and Eli’s dorm room, Wednesday November 25, Day 116, afternoon.
That day count is real. The season runs on an actual calendar from the first day to the last. If a scene says Day 116, everything you have read happened in the days before it.
Images sit beside the text, not instead of it. Read both.
New episodes arrive every other Thursday. Captain’s Circle members see them first.
The Episode Guide lists the whole season in order, including the Prologue and the special episodes like Fall Break. Those specials are part of Season 1, not extras sitting alongside it.
If you are new here, The Summer Between is the free preview episode and the right place to start.
If you only ever read the Episodes, you have the whole story. Nothing load-bearing happens anywhere else.

MOMENTS
Small stories. Everything that happens between the moments we see.
Short, self-contained, usually one character or one pair. A night nobody else saw. A scene from the wrong side of the room. Something small and true that the episode had no room to hold.
Look at the tag on each card and you will see how a Moment places itself. Between Ep 8 and 9. Cole’s freshman year. A Moment tells you where it sits relative to the season rather than claiming a spot inside it.
Moments are canon. They are just not required.
Read one and you should feel rewarded. Skip one and you should never feel lost.
They land between episode weeks, and they are also where this universe stretches past the swim team. Soccer stories, Valle Mar, people whose lives run alongside the pool without ever touching it.

PROFILES
Heights. Hometowns. Reputations.
Every character on the board, with the details that do not fit inside a scene. What they swim, what year they are, where they came from, who they live with.
Some of it is just useful. Some of it is the kind of thing you will remember three episodes later and understand differently.

SCU
The world itself.
Sierra Coast University sits on the cliffs above Valle Mar, a small coastal town north of Los Angeles. Division I program, the Sierra Coast Breakers, ocean on one side and a town with its own life on the other.
This is where the campus, the town, and the places the season keeps returning to are laid out. If you have ever wondered how far the Aquatic Center is from the dorms, or what Valle Mar actually is, it is here.

THE FEED, AND THE VAULT
News and information. This is where everything comes home.
Character introductions, teasers, videos, polls, newsletters, bonus material, image drops, and every social post I put out. Instagram is the main social channel, so if you follow one, follow that. But you will never have to chase anything. It all lands here too.
The Vault is the same library, shown a different way.
The Feed is a scroll. Newest first, full posts, keep going as long as you want.
The Vault is an index. Cover image first, laid out in a grid, so you can scan a lot at once and open what catches your eye.
Same posts, two ways to look at them. Use whichever suits what you are doing.
Both carry the same sidebar, and that is where the real navigation is. Everything is filed into collections, so you can pull up just the videos, or one character’s series, or the holiday posts, or a specific season, and go straight through it.
One more thing people miss: the comments. This is where the conversation happens. After every episode I put up a discussion post, and those threads are some of the best reading on the site. People catch things I thought were buried. Some of them are right.

HOW TO GET TO ALL OF IT
Everything is in the top navigation, on every page, all the time. Member Home, Episodes, Moments, Profiles, SCU, Feed, The Vault.
Nothing is hidden behind a menu you have not found. There is a search icon at the end of the row if you would rather go straight to something.
THE SHORT VERSION
Member Home is where you land.
Episodes are the story.
Moments are the stories around it.
Profiles and SCU are the people and the place.
The Feed and the Vault are everything else, in a scroll or in a grid.
Read the Episodes. Take a Moment when you want more of someone. Open Profiles when you want to know who somebody is. Check the Feed for what is new, or to argue with me in the comments. Browse the Vault when you just want to look.
Now go read the next one.
