Season 2 of Varsity Nights is live now.

Episode 1 — Return, opens on Sunday, January 10, the afternoon everyone walks back into Cove Hall, and it runs three days.

Luca walks up from Noah’s house with one outgoing call on his phone and nothing under it. Eli flies in from San Francisco with a text he’s looked at eleven times and never opened. They unpack in the same room, answer every question truthfully, and neither of them says the one thing that matters.

That night, an hour after the lights go off, Luca crosses the carpet the way he has since August. For the first time in five months, somebody in room 314 says no out loud.

Then Monday. A new coach on deck, and one swimmer in the line who can’t look at him. A freshman named Vanowen across the hall. A soccer player who sits down one seat over from Eli Becker in Intro to Psych and waits to be looked at.

Three days. Count who says no, and count who says yes.

Season 1 was Luca’s. This season is Eli’s. You’ll feel it by the end of this one.
